How a payment works
- Pick who to pay, or scan their QR code, and enter the amount.
- KohaPay shows you their verified account name so you know it's the right person.
- You approve the payment on your own bank's screen. Nothing is paid until you do.
- The money goes straight from your bank account to theirs.

Prices are in New Zealand dollars. Payments go bank to bank and KohaPay never holds them, so business fees are taken automatically at the start of each month from the card or bank account you save. Business accounts never get a bill. Payments are capped at $1,000 a day and $10 per request. Full details are in the terms of use. Your money stays safe

- You approve every payment on your own bank's screen. Nothing is paid until you do.
- We never see your bank login. Banks connect through Akahu, a New Zealand open banking service.
- You see who you're paying before you pay, and can report anything that looks like a scam.
